Adolfo Cuevas Teja
Commissioner, IFT – Federal Institute of Telecommunications, Mexico
Adolfo Cuevas Teja joined the IFT - Federal Institute of Telecommunications in 2006 where he served as General Director of the Drafting Resolutions Office. On September 10, 2013 he was appointed Commissioner of the Federal Telecommunications Institute by the Senate. Commissioner Cuevas will be serving the post until 2022
Commissioner Cuevas started his professional career in the Public Sector in 1985, working for the Office of Legal Counsel at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. From 1998 to 2002, he was General Counsel of the Metropolitan Autonomous University.
In the telecommunications sector, Commissioner Cuevas has served as Legal Deputy Director of the Mexican Institute of Radio. He was General Counsel for the General Directorate of Radio-Television-Film at the Ministry of Home Affairs. He also provided legal advice on telecommunication issues to the Senate.
Commissioner Cuevas has an LLB from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Institution where he specialized in Constitutional and Administrative Law, and a Masters in Law program. He also holds a Master in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard Kennedy School.
