Founder and CEO of ITMedia Consulting, Augusto Preta has long-established experience in the field of content media and digital markets.
He has been a consultant for more than 20 years and is an advisor to major international companies and institutions. Beside his consultancy activity, he also advises major companies on strategic issues, for example Canal Plus/Vivendi in the Newscorp/Telepiù merger in 2003, Fastweb and Wind (2004) in the agreement with Sky Italia for acquiring wholesale the Sky premium channels on broadband offer (IPTV). Mr Preta was appointed as an expert for the national communications authority (Agcom) for its research on Digital Terrestrial Television and on content communication (the latter, as coordinator of the White Paper on Content, published in 2011).
Mr Preta is a member of the IIC Board of Directors and President of the Italian Chapter. He has participated in several projects at the European level and is regularly invited to speak at major conferences. He also has published widely and in professional and academic publications and reviews internationally, including "Economia dei Contenuti" (2007) e "Televisione e mercati rilevanti" (2012), published by Vita e Pensiero in the Economic Series.
