Held at the Grange St. Paul's Hotel and sponsored by Microsoft, with support from the World Economic Forum ‘Rethinking Personal Data Project’, the invitation-only workshop explored new thinking about effective and meaningful interactions with individuals through context-aware personal data management and associated policy development and was highly interactive and cross-disciplinary, with many international delegates offering their perspectives.

 The workshop was designed to
  • Raise awareness of context-aware personal data management in enabling a sustainable user-centred data ecosystem and supporting data policy frameworks in the world of ‘big data’;
  • Explore new thinking about effective and meaningful interactions with individuals through context-aware personal data management and associated policy development;
  • Share and encourage new cross-disciplinary research on context-aware personal data management and discuss how that work can inform policy making.
