Machine to Machine Workshop

Tuesday 7 October 2014

Hosted by AT&T
At the Austrian Regulatory Authority (RTR)

Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications have already demonstrated the potential to maximize efficiency, productivity, and social welfare in fields as diverse as education, healthcare, transportation, energy, security and home automation, agriculture, and government. The M2M opportunity is a real game-changer that will transform every aspect of society. And from this evolution, new business and technical models are emerging, requiring a review of existing polices to enable M2M services to maximize economic growth, societal benefit, innovation, competition, privacy and security.
The M2M Workshop explored the policy implications for M2M communications and the fulfillment of the IoT. Across two sessions it addressed the key issues in M2M development, the Workshop provided an opportunity for collaboration between industry, academia and policy-makers at the vanguard of M2M technologies.
