Andrea Renda (Dr)
Senior Research Fellow and Head, Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and the Digital Economy, Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS)
Dr Andrea Renda is Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Unit on Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and the Digital Economy at CEPS. He holds the Google Chair for Digital Innovation at the College of Europe in Bruges. Dr Renda is a non-resident Senior Fellow at Duke University’s Kenan Institute for Ethics. An internationally recognised expert in regulation, evidence-based policymaking, and the impact of new technologies on policymaking both in developed and developing countries, Dr Renda has led major research projects for EU institutions, as well as for several international organisations.
He is currently a member of the ESIR, a high Level Advisory Group on the Economic and Social Impacts of Research for the European Commission, DG Research and Innovation.
Dr Renda holds a PhD degree in Law and Economics awarded by the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and is a very prolific author and keynote speaker on a wide variety of topics.
