Loren Braithwaite Kabosha is Chief Executive Officer of the South African Communications Forum (SACF), a representative of the ICT industry encompassing the telecommunications, electronic, postal, information technology, electronics and broadcasting sectors.
Ms Braithwaite Kabosa has had a career in ICT policy and development stretching over 20 years. She has been a corporate lawyer, merchant banker, investment company executive and CEO of a company which built telecommunications infrastructure throughout the African continent. Her current national ICT policy portfolio includes providing expertise to: the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa, the National ICT Policy Review Panel, the National Broadband Advisory Council and as Chairperson of the Economic Chamber of the National ICT Forum.
Ms Braithwaite Kabosa also has a very keen interest in gender issues, and is one of the founding board members of the South African Women in ICT Forum launched in July 2014. She is a graduate from Harvard University and Columbia University.
