Communicating 4 Better Communication
Yerevan, Armenia: 29-30 June 2015
Over 100 delegates came to the forum to gain new insights on how business models are evolving across the TMT ecosystem in EurAsia. Armenia sits at the heart of the Caucasus and has a rapidly growing Telecoms Media and Technology market with an increasing penetration of digital users. The transition to digital television and radio broadcasting in Armenia is moving apace, and the telecommunications market is growing. The issues raised by the move to digitalisation and the growth of 4G and internet services formed the background to the presentations and points for discussion with senior expert speakers drawn from over 10 countries from the region and beyond.
TMF meetings are conducted under the Chatham House Rule.
KEY DISCUSSION THEMES
We examined convergence and the issues it raises
How has convergence affected traditional forms of communication, what does convergence mean at a practical level and are the issues the same for converged markets as they were for telecommunications or media? Plus key challenges presented by OTT players, new applications, net neutrality, interconnection charging and protection of the consumer.
