2012 IIC International Regulators Forum to be hosted by MDA and IDA in Singapore in October

6-7 October 2012, Singapore

Jointly hosted by the Media Development Authority and the Infocomm Development Authority

The IIC’s International Regulators Forum (IRF) is the only event of its kind. Uniquely, it covers the entire communications regulatory sector and is exclusively for regulators, offering – over two days - an international perspective on national and global issues. It provides a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and explore new developments in a workshop environment and is held under the Chatham House rule.

Hosted by the Media Development Authority and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, this highly interactive and open meeting will be held over the weekend of 6-7 October 2012. The meeting itself will cover seven topics over the two days and the topics themselves have been chosen by members of the IRF and other regulators. Further details of the programme will be available shortly.

The Forum will be followed by the IIC 2012 Annual Conference on 8-9 October and most regulators stay on for the Conference, and special rates are offered to them. Both meetings promise a stimulating few days of discussion and interaction.

In addition, the IIC is pleased to announce a special pre-Conference meeting, jointly organised with the Media Development Authority, which will examine aspects of communications literacy, their relevance to modern society and the economic wellbeing of our nations. We do hope you will be able to participate in this meeting as well, to be held on 5 October, the day before the start of the IIC IRF.

More information will be forthcoming shortly.
