Adriana Labardini

Adriana Labardini

Adriana Labardini is currently an independent ICT lawyer and consultant, specialising in regulatory, policy and antitrust issues in Mexico and the Latin American region. She currently serves as director of the Boards of IIC, Rhizomatica, Universidad Iberoamericana and Conectadas. She is focusing on public interest issues such as innovative regulation for inclusion, ICT for development, rural connectivity models, ICT and gender equality, and pluralism in media.

Ms Labardini is also co-founder and VP of Conectadas, an NGO of women leaders in the ICT world working for gender equality.  Ms Labardini previously held the position of Commissioner from 2013 to 2018 with IFT, the Mexican regulator and antitrust authority.  She served as Secretary of the Board of COFETEL, the former telecommunications agency (1999-2003) and practiced law in a major law firm, specialising in the areas of corporate, administrative and telecommunications law (1986- 1998).

Ms Labardini holds a Master in Laws degree from Columbia University, a JD from Escuela Libre de Derecho; is a Fulbright scholar and an Ashoka and Hubert Humphrey Fellow.
