Created in 1997, the Italian Chapter, together with the other Chapters, plays a central role in the life of the Institute, offering its own contribution to the pursuit of the goals of the IIC. On the one hand it aims to take advantage of the IIC as a worldwide organization, to make available to its members an international network of decision makers, regulators and scholars and thus contribute to increase the culture of communication in Italy.
On the other hand, through the presence in the Chapter of important members in the communications sectors in Italy, it aims to create targeted initiatives of great relevance, in order to broaden the membership base and act as an important reference point both for the Italian professionals as well as for the IIC as a whole. The Italian Chapter is kept alive thanks to the initiative and the contribution of individual members and some of the major national institutions and companies.
