On the 19th of July the IIC Italian Chapter organised a Conference in Rome hosted by Rai, the Italian public broadcaster. A video celebrating 50 Years of the IIC was also released by Rai on the occasion of the Third Edition of the Antonio Preto Prize, supported by all major national companies and the AGCOM, which jointly organised the meeting.
This conference highlighted the major milestones in the 50 years of activity of the IIC, in terms of proceedings and achievements which have occurred in the fast-changing communication environment, and set the basis for future accomplishments in the communications sector. Leading experts, regulatory and industry representatives joined the meeting.

Following the launch of the Europe Chapter back on 26 March 2019, we hosted a first event on EECC in Rome using a workshop format under Chatham House Rule. Hosted by Augusto Preta (Italy Chapter Chairman) and chaired by Francesco Liberatore (Brussels Chapter Chairman), the workshop provided an update on the current status of the transposition of the EU Electronic Communications Code (EECC), as well as its challenges and opportunities.Download
