Kyoung Jun Lee (Dr)

Dr Kyoung Jun Lee is currently the Director of the International Centre for Electronic Commerce (http://icec.net) and Humanitas Big Data Research Centre. Dr Lee is the year 2017’s President of Korean Intelligent Information Systems Society (2017) and the current President of Korean Association for Business Communication (2019-2020).
He was a member of the Government 3.0 Committee in South Korea and held the position of Information Sharing and Collaboration Committee Chair. He has also worked as the head of IoT/IoE Division of the public-private partnership for e-Government. Dr Lee was a Korean government member of the Strategic Committee for Fourth Industrial Revolution and founded Benple Inc., IoT & AI-based company, and Allwinware Inc. and received the Presidential Award for his contribution to e-government in Korea.
Dr Lee served as a visiting scientist and professor at Carnegie Mellon University (1995-1996), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2009), and the University of California at Berkeley (2010).
Dr Lee graduated with a BS (1990), MS (1992), and PhD (1995) in Management Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He also completed a MS and PhD course in Public Administration at Seoul National University in 2003. He won the Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence Awards in 1995 and 1997 from the Association for Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).
