Prapanpong Khumon (Asst. Prof. Dr)

Assistant Professor Prapanpong Khumon (PhD) is a lecturer at School of Law, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thailand. He also acts as Director of Academy of Public Enterprise Policy, Business and Regulation (APaR). Professor Khumon finished LL.M. from University College London in 2006 and received his PhD from Queen Mary, University of London in 2011 on a thesis emphasising on an interaction between a social movement and regulation. He also acts as Thai Board of Trade committee in trade negotiation, and a committee in the Arbitration Office. He published a number of scholar articles about trade in services in international journals including the law and development review and Asian Journal of WTO and International Health Law and Policy .
Professor Khumon has also engaged in a number of research projects for the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) including a comparative study about media regulation in ASEAN, a comparative study of media regulation of the EU and ASEAN, and a study on regulation of the pay TV sector. He also leads a research project for the Thai Council of State on Digital Economy regulations for Thailand. Professor Khumon completed research study on Thailand’s institutional reform to embrace commitments of trade and investment agreements.
