FTC investigates ‘big tech’ acquisitions

The website techcrunch reviews the announcement by the US Federal Trade Commission requiring five technology firms to provide information about acquisitions not previously reported to antitrust agencies. Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Microsoft will need to report on every deal they have made, ‘including the terms, scope, structure and purpose of each transaction made between January 1, 2010 and December 31 2019’, says the website.
