5G: Fuel for the Media?

Media applications are often considered as one of the most demanding services, as they require huge quantities of network capacity for high bandwidth audiovisual and other mobile sensory streams. In addition, they demand very low latency for truly immersive, responsive and tactile user experiences;1 5G networks are expected to significantly reduce latency and vastly increase capacity for delivering high bandwidth data streams between high densities of people and things at low energy and with high reliability.
