REGULATION IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

Following the 11 March 2020 announcement by the World Health Organization that COVID-19 can be characterised as a pandemic, the IIC convened a series of webinars on the theme “regulating in times of pandemic: lessons for the future” held in partnership with the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB) on 17 April 2020, the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) on 12 May 2020 and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on 8 July 2020.

Regulators and policymakers from the Americas, Europe and Asia discussed decisions and initiatives taken in response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, stimulating a constructive dialogue with other regulators and the private sector across the hundreds of IIC members and participants who attended these events from around the globe.
