SATRA is the statutory body in charge of the regulation of Audiovisual media service providers including, but not limited to, Video-on-Demand (VoD) and Video Sharing Platforms. As a convergent industry, SATRA is working closely with other relevant regulatory bodies like telecommunication authority in Iran.
An inherent duty of every regulatory body is to share its experience in challenging times. After the Covid-19 pandemic, SATRA tried to introduce new initiatives to the audiovisual industry. Dr. Emamian, president of SATRA, and Dr. Asghari, head of SATRA’s International Affairs department, have addressed this experience in an article that was published in Intermedia’s September issue.
