The ACMA Communications report 2017–18 has confirmed the fast pace of changes in Australia’s communications and media landscape. Some of the key statistics from the report include:
- Mobile downloads increased by 500% and fixed-line downloads by almost 300% from 2014 to 2018.
- Almost 75% of Australian internet users use apps to communicate.
- 40% of adults use five or more devices.
