Andrea Katalin Tóth works as the policy assistant to the Director at the Directorate for Data, as well as a legal and policy officer at the Data Policy and Innovation Unit within DG CNECT, at the European Commission in Luxembourg. Her work focuses on the implementation of the European Data Strategy of 2020, and on the development of the legislative initiatives as part of this process, including the Data Governance Act and the Data Act.
Ms Tóth holds an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property and Information Law from the University of Houston and she is also currently a Ph.D. candidate at Eötvös Loránd University, where her research focuses on the interplay of cutting edge technology and the classical concepts of intellectual property.
