Chiara Garbellini is a regulatory economist and Principal Consultant at DT Economics. Chiara advises clients across industries, with a focus on network companies operating in the telecoms, tech and payments sectors. She works directly with company boards and their advisors on regulatory strategy and responses to regulation and policy, and has also advised regulators on market reviews and the design of regulatory frameworks. Alongside her regulatory work, she has led impact assessment analyses in the cloud space, and has advised on disputes.

Prior to joining DT Economics, Ms Garbellini was a Director at FTI Consulting, where she advised clients on regulatory and competition issues in the context of market reviews and new regulatory proposals, with particular focus on the assessment of regulatory risk and revenue modelling for regulated assets. Ms Garbellini also previously worked as an Economist at GSMA, where she provided internal economic consulting and research on a variety of public policy and regulatory issues, particularly in the areas of spectrum and mobile money.

Ms Garbellini holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc in Economics, Management and Finance from Bocconi University in Milan.
