Éric Dagenais
Éric Dagenais was appointed Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Spectrum and Telecommunications Sector in March 2020. Mr Dagenais has held the post of ADM at ISED since 2015 within various other sectors and has directed many high-profile initiatives relating to Defence Procurement, Skills and Training, Broadband Connectivity and the Information and Technology sector.
Prior to this, Mr Dagenais was the Director General of the Small Business Branch at Industry Canada, Director General, MacKenzie Gas Project Office at Environment Canada and Director General, Investment Review at Industry Canada. Before joining the senior management cadre, Mr. Dagenais held various positions within Industry Canada and the Privy Council Office (PCO).
Mr Dagenais holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and a Masters in Economics from Carleton University.

Éric Dagenais a été nommé sous-ministre adjoint principal (SMAP) du Secteur du spectre et des télécommunications en mars 2020. Depuis 2015, il était SMA d’autres secteurs d’ISDE, et il a dirigé de nombreuses initiatives d’envergure en matière d’approvisionnement de la défense, de compétences et de formation, de connectivité à large bande et d’information et de technologie.
M. Dagenais a aussi été directeur général de la Direction des petites entreprises d’Industrie Canada, directeur général du Bureau du projet gazier MacKenzie à Environnement Canada et directeur général de la Direction de l’examen des investissements et de la planification stratégique d’Industrie Canada.
Avant de se joindre à la haute direction, M. Dagenais a occupé divers postes au sein d’Industrie Canada et du Bureau du Conseil privé.
M. Dagenais détient un baccalauréat en commerce de l’Université d’Ottawa et une maîtrise en économie de l’Université de Carleton.
