Prof Ntsibane Ntlatlapa is an Associate Professor in digital innovation and digital transformation at the Wits University LINK Centre. Prior to joining LINK Centre in 2024, he served as Centre Head of the C4IR South Africa at the CSIR. He previously served as an Impact Area Manager at the CSIR.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Auburn University in the US, and has 25 years of post-doctoral research and technology development experience. At the international level, he served as the Vice-Chairperson of the International Telecommunication Union’s ITU-T Multimedia Study Group (Study Group 16) for a four-year period and as part of a forum of Centre Heads of World Economic Forum led C4IR Network.
As a university academic, he has extensive experience in teaching, supervision, and curriculum development through positions held in Lesotho, Nigeria, the US, and South Africa. At the LINK Centre, he lectures on the Master of Arts in ICT Policy and Regulation (MA ICTPR), participates in postgraduate student supervision in digital innovation and digital transformation.
