Vijeta Arya is a regulatory compliance and public policy expert with over 20 years of experience in the telecom sector, currently serving as Head of Government and Industry Relations at Ericsson India. In her role, she orchestrates strategic partnerships and spearheads regulatory initiatives, aligning business goals with regulatory frameworks to foster innovation and growth. Vijeta’s expertise is underscored by her experience in navigating complex regulatory environments, ensuring compliance while advocating for progressive telecommunications policies.

As a qualified lawyer, and holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Sociology from Delhi University, she expertly navigates complex regulatory landscapes and all related matters.

Prior to her current position, Vijeta led Product Trust and Regulatory Compliance at Amazon, where she contributed towards mitigating business risks and streamlined product compliance, resulting in substantial resource savings and enhanced collaboration with consumer groups and regulators. Before joining Amazon, she led regulatory operations and compliance at Airtel, where she built strong partnerships with DoT, TRAI and TEC and successfully managed compliance across Airtel’s eight global subsidiaries.
