Algeria’s regulator takes new name

Algeria’s telecoms regulator has changed its name from the Authority for Regulation of Post and Telecoms (Autorite de Regulation de la Poste et des Telecoms, ARPT) to the Authority for Regulation of Post and Electronic Communications (Autorite de Regulation de la Poste et des Communications Electroniques, ARPCE). The new title reflects the regulator’s wider involvement in all aspects of today’s digital communications sphere, reports TeleGeography. Read more
