Still panicking after all these years?
The concept of a moral panic was devised in the 1970s but is still at the forefront of academics minds, Professor Robin Mansell tells Martin Sims.
A former boss once asked me to write down the three big issues in communications. 'What is it everybody is worried about?' he said. 'Just set it down in bullets then we can target these issues in our marketing plan.' I had a go but predictably the results were a) banal and b) obvious.
