The Barbados Broadcasting Authority (BBA) is the regulatory authority for free-to-air television, broadcast radio and subscriber television services in Barbados. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic the BBA has:
Complimented the stance taken by local broadcast media, and the media more broadly, for how they have played their role in communicating information about the coronavirus to the public. The Authority specifically complimented the way in which accurate health information has been conveyed, against a backdrop of increased misinformation.
Used its Facebook page to communicate government updates and broadcasts to keep the country informed – highlighting that information is from an official source.
