Hiroshi Amano joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2008. He is currently in charge of the tax break system for the introduction of 5G/ local 5G and local 5G promotion policies as a deputy director for the digital economy promotion office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan. He has worked for over 13 years in the government sector and has knowledge and experience of both domestic and local government sectors, as well as international policies in the ICT area by working in the international section for four years, in addition to the work in the Wakayama prefectural government as the director for the ICT policies between 2016 and 2019.
After graduating from the Waseda University (the faculty of Social Sciences) in 2007, Mr Amano took the Master of Science degrees in the Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2015 and in the International Business and Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh in 2016.
