Dr Yvonne Marie Andrés, Internet Hall of Fame inductee, is an Author, Speaker and Consultant working with businesses, schools, and organizations with an interest in collaborative learning, project-based learning, global connections, workforce readiness, and educational outreach. Andres’ specializes in designing, producing, and facilitating, exciting and innovative blended-learning projects.

Dr Andrés is President/Co-founder of GlobalSchoolNet.org and founder of iPoPP (International Projects or Partners Place).  Dr Andres developed the original Global Schoolhouse project for NSF, digitally bringing together youth worldwide to conduct an environmental watershed pollution study and share findings via state-of-the-art CU-SEEme videoconferencing. She is the creator of International CyberFair and the US State Department’s Doors to Diplomacy program.  Dr Andres serves as education co-chair for the US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange and Education Director for Global Forest Link.

Dr Andres has been champion of elearning since 1984, as project director for networks including AT&T Learning Network, CORE (California Online Resources in Education) Network, CERFnet (California Education Research Federation) and Free Educational Mail (FrEdMail). She has provided elearning leadership throughout the US, Canada, Asia, Europe, Australia, South America, and Africa. She designed a pilot interactive Internet video project for ABC World News Now, wrote Apple’s “Getting Started on the Internet,” produced Dr. Jane Goodall’s first web site, and Microsoft’s first education website.

Dr Andrés,was named one of 25 most influential people worldwide in education technology for her innovative e-learning projects, involving 5 million students from 194 countries. Andrés received the Soroptimist International Making-a-Difference-Award for advancing the status of women and children. Andrés was chosen San Diego Magazine’s Women-Who-Move-the-City, recognizing dynamic women who create positive change in the the community. She was selected by San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s WOMEN OF INFLUENCE IN TECHNOLOGY.
