Elon Musk addressed Twitter employees in an 'all hands' video call. In the same week that the EU’s new ‘Code of Practice on Disinformation’ (CoP) was adopted by 34 global companies.
In it, he gave his opinion on the difference between ‘freedom of speech' and ‘freedom of reach’. His view was that the social media platform should be bold in allowing freedom of speech to the fullest extent of the law in whichever country it was operating, but there was no obligation to promote it to a wider audience.
