H.E. Al Ramsi is the Deputy Director General (DDG) for the Telecommunications Sector at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) since March 2022. He received an Executive MBA from the University of Sharjah in 2016, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Engineering with distinction from Etisalat College of Engineering (Khalifa University) in 1998.
Before becoming DDG, H.E. Al Ramsi served as the Director of the Regulatory Affairs Department at TDRA from 2016 to 2022. The department was responsible for three sections: Economic and Competition Section, Licensing Section, and Consumer Affairs Section.
H.E. Al Ramsi also held the position of Manager of the Telecom and Infrastructure Standards Section at TDRA from 2007 to 2015. Prior to joining TDRA, H.E. Al Ramsi worked at Emirates Telecommunication Group Company PJSC (Etisalat) as Senior Manager of Central Network Planning between 2006 – 2007. During the same period, he was also the chief engineer of fixed network planning in the company.
Between 2002 and 2005, he held the position of Senior Engineer for Next Generation Networks at Etisalat, and before that, he worked as a project engineer in Etisalat between 1998 and 2002.
