Paloma Szerman has a wealth of experience in technology policy and regulatory issues in Latin America. Her current portfolio of work in Meta includes the company’s public policy issues related to WhatsApp, Messaging and Connectivity. Paloma works closely with governments, NGOs and international organizations, focusing on advancing public policies, partnerships and campaigns related to a secure, diverse, sustainable and innovative digital space.
Prior to her current role she was a member of the Public Policy team in Latin America of the GSMA, the global mobile telecom trade association, coordinating public campaigns and regulatory strategies on behalf of GSMA’s members. She also held other roles in the Argentinean public sector, always with a focus on technology.
Her background is in public law from Buenos Aires University and she holds a Master of Science in International Public Policy from Queen Mary University of London.
