Mr Mohammed Didarul Alam is currently working as AVP, OpCo Engagement and Operations South Asia, Axiata Group Berhad and overseeing the development and progress of regulatory environment in Axiata footprint markets. Axiata is one of the largest Asian telecommunications companies, operating in ten countries and serving over 160 million subscribers.

He brings 19 years of extensive experience in regulatory affairs of telecommunication sector, with roles in regulatory strategy, policy advocacy, economic and competition regulations, compliance & governance, and M&A etc.

He is a former Vice President of Robi Axiata Limited where he held leading roles in the regulatory functions. Prior joining Robi, he also served Grameenphone (Telenor Group) and Huawei Technologies Ltd.

Mr Alam holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Bangladesh and an MBA (Marketing) from the North South University (NSU), Bangladesh.

He has successfully completed “Advancing Next-Generation Leaders” program conducted by Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning and Telecom Mini MBA program conducted by Coleago Consulting.
