Dr Baro Hyun is the Founder & CEO of LunaTone Inc., a pioneering digital content company operating in Japan and Korea. He also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Temple University Japan, where he leads Japan’s first Esports Certificate Program. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Innovation and Digitization Committee at the World Esports Consortium (WESCO) and the author of the Amazon bestseller Demystifying Esports.
Before founding LunaTone, Dr Hyun established and led KPMG Japan’s Gaming and Esports division, advising prestigious clients such as Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and the Japan Esports Union (JeSU). His accolades include the Grand Prize at the Cool Japan Matching Award 2022, the KPMG Japan Chairman Award, and Microsoft’s 2018 Partner of the Year AI Award.
Dr Hyun earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and began his career at Hyundai Motors R&D in South Korea.
