Anna Theodoulides is a Research Assistant in Digital Media at the University of Leeds, working on the Building Evidence Base for Public Service Media and Audiovisual Policymaking project under Professor Catherine Johnson and Dr Christopher Birchall. Anna focuses on developing computational methods to analyse the availability, prominence and discoverability of ‘critically endangered genres’ on the video-on-demand services of British Public Broadcasters.
Within the research team, Anna focuses on quantitative approaches to research and evaluate the editorial and algorithmic choices on these platforms. She holds an MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she studied how the technological infrastructure and functionality of digital platforms shape the work strategies of content creators
