Adella Toulon-Foerster is a seasoned expert in digital finance and cryptocurrency, with over 25 years of experience shaping the industry. Her journey began in 2000 in the digital gold space, where she helped pioneer asset fractionalization and spend card integration. By 2010, she transitioned to Bitcoin, authoring a seminal legal research paper on the technology.

A graduate of Nottingham Law School and the George Washington University School of Law, Adella combines deep legal expertise with technical crypto acumen. Over the past decade, she has led major industry advancements, from deploying early Bitcoin ATMs at MIT and Overstock to serving as President of one of the world’s earliest Bitcoin exchanges.

As a serial entrepreneur and advisor, she has founded, co-founded, and guided numerous crypto startups. She has led Crypto & Tech Law practices at Cogent Law Group and Oster & McBride, shaping policy, litigation, and compliance strategies. Her expertise spans academic lectures, advising intergovernmental organizations, and collaborating with financial crime divisions on high-stakes crypto investigations and legislation development that balances privacy, innovation, and accountability.

Adella is a boy mom, a mixed martial arts practitioner, and a sci-fi bibliophile.
