India General Counsel, Legal Director, Global Telecom Regulations, BT Group

Anish serves as the Legal Director in the Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Company Secretary (LRACCS) team at BT Group. With over 12 years of dedicated service to BT Group, Anish has been instrumental in leading legal, corporate governance, customs & international trade, ethics & compliance, and regulatory functions, helping steer BT Group’s expansion across various business units and geographies in India. He is a member of the India Management Group, which oversees all decisions related to BT Group’s presence in India.

Anish’s legal responsibilities encompass all BT Group operations in India, and he also oversees the legal framework for BT Group Business Services, which operates out of India, Hungary, and the UK. Until March 31, 2025, he managed the global telecommunications regulatory function, covering AMEA, the Americas, and Europe for BT’s international enterprise business, serving customers in c.187 countries.

Anish has an overall experience of 27 years, and he brings a wealth of expertise in litigation, corporate advisory, commercial contracting, regulatory affairs, risk management, and corporate governance. Before joining BT, he practiced as a litigator and worked at several leading law firms in India. His approach combines commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with a strong focus on key business risks related to commercial, regulatory, and ethics and compliance matters.
