He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the Republic. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at the same institution.
He has studied geopolitics and regional integration.
In his legislative career, he served as a representative for Montevideo from 2005 to 2010 and as an alternate senator for the following term.
He also served as Director General of the Secretariat of the Ministry of Education and Culture (2010-2015), General Coordinator of the Office of Planning and Budget (2015-2018), and Coordinator of the Sectoral Commission on Population and Development (2015-2020).
Between 2020 and 2025, he was a legislative advisor, as well as an advisor and researcher at the organization Women and Health in Uruguay.
