Desarack (“Des”) Teso joined Microsoft based in Thailand since July 2009 and serves as the legal counsel for the Microsoft subsidiaries in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. He represents the company externally on issues relating to digital transformation including privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, among others. Currently, Mr Teso works extensively on regulatory compliance with commercial banks and the central banks to support the industry’s digital transformation journey.
Mr Teso has had both regional and country roles in the Asia Pacific region for over 20 years, and was previously based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Laos before moving to Thailand.
He attended Linfield College in Oregon on a tennis scholarship (BA Accounting).
Mr Taso is qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Hawaii as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
