Tencent is China’s largest internet company and owns brands including WeChat and QQ. During the COVID-19 pandemic Tencent has:

  •  Established a US$100 million global anti-COVID-19 fund and rollout of a global COVID-19 information platform.
  • Launched a package on Tencent Cloud including products enabling remote collaboration, online medical consultation and helping governments promote access to reliable information. Tencent Cloud will also provide free credits for some cloud service purchases to help companies and organizations in need.
  • Provided VooV Meeting free of charge to users in more than 100 countries and regions, to help companies work remotely, educational organisations to teach online classes and medical institutions to provide online consultations.
  • Tencent has made a number of applications open source so that organisations around the world can use them in their fight against the pandemic. These include an AI-powered self-triage assistant which can help users check any symptoms and access prevention advice.
