Standards Australia has published a discussion paper ‘Developing Standards for Artificial Intelligence: Hearing Australia’s Voice’, as part of a process to ensure Australian stakeholders stay engaged with the global AI rollout, including AI-based solutions and governance.
Setting standards in the AI space can help keep the rapid development of AI in step with changing community expectations, according to Standards Australia.
The wide-ranging applications for AI, encompassing homes, healthcare clinics and factory floors, “present real opportunities for Australians in terms of our standard of living,” said Acting CEO of Standards Australia, Mr Adrian O’Connell.
