AT&T is taking numerous steps to support business, first responders, customers and communities. These include:

  • Deploying assets, optimising the network and providing devices to quarantine zones and more across the USA. These have been delivered as part of FirstNet: a nationwide, wireless communications platform dedicated to the country’s first responders and public safety community.
  • Committing to not terminate services for 60 days to wireless, broadband, landline or small business customers who are unable to pay bills. The company is also waiving fees for the same group if they are experiencing difficulties because of the situation.
  • Removing data caps for consumers on home internet connections and expanding eligibility to its low-cost internet programme for low-income families.
  • Providing conference and video call functionality to businesses, universities and schools for 90 days, as well as call forwarding services.
