Aditya Kiran Kaushik is a technology policy professional with over a decade of experience in managing advocacy programmes for private sector focused on digital economy; developing strategic roadmaps for new initiatives; creating partnerships and building policy interfaces with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Kaushik holds the position of Senior Director for the Digital Economy, Media, and Entertainment at the United States India Business Council (USIBC), which is part of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He plays a pivotal role as a key member of the senior leadership and management team at USIBC. His responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with operational policies and regulations, and spearheading the adoption of innovative technologies to improve efficiency. He also leads and manages a diverse portfolio of 70 global technology companies, supporting their advocacy efforts across various sectors such as Telecommunications, IT Services, Semiconductors, Space Technology, and Media & Entertainment.

Previously, he worked as a Consultant, New Emerging Strategic Technology Division, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, New Delhi where he formulated assessments and evaluation of AI and data related policies of key countries/blocs to help construct and inform India’s global position on these topics; Built strategic partnerships with key partner countries, international organizations, multilateral platforms (GPAI) in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and associated Emerging Technologies; Built a network of policy and operational interfaces at the State and Central Government levels, assessed demand driven requirements of Emerging Technologies of these interfaces, and facilitated interventions.

He also worked as the Associate Director, Water Solutions Lab (WSL), Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru where he led a team of over 15 FTEs towards the formulation of strategic policy and implementation agenda for a product suite of next generation custom designed water system diagnostics and assessment solutions.

He also worked as an Application Support & Quality Engineer, The MathWorks Inc, Boston where led 20 FTEs to provide consultation to 800+ global customers from the aerospace industry, telecommunication sector, automobile industry, government, and academic institutions across a portfolio of over 25 products lines in Image processing, Computer Vision, Computational Math & Finance.

Kaushik holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and a master of arts degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
