Aidan McCartan is an External Affairs Specialist at Millicom (Tigo). For the past eight years, he has had a leading role in driving forward the company’s purpose of building digital highways that connect people, improve lives, and develop communities. Aidan’s primary focus is on government relations and regulatory matters, supporting the development and implementation of Millicom’s public policy agenda as it relates to key issues such as spectrum, taxation, freedom of expression, privacy, and security. He is the lead for Millicom’s interactions with US governmental agencies, the US Chamber of Commerce, the InterAmerican Development Bank, and US embassies in Latin America. Before joining Millicom, Mr McCartan worked at Deustche Bank in both Ireland and the UK.
Mr McCartan holds a Master of Arts in Modern European Languages (French and Spanish) & European Union Studies from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
