Alvaro Nadal Florentino

Alvaro Nadal is a Telecommunications Engineer with a n MBA from FIU currently working as the Technical Advisor to the Executive Director of the Dominican Telecommunications Institute (INDOTEL), the government agency that regulates the telecommunications market and its many dimensions. He has been involved in the telecom market for over 25 years, where he has worked as part of the executive distinguished himself in planning and implementation of technical projects in the private sector and as a regulator he has contributed towards planning and dimensioning the digital divide and the creation of public policy to address it. As Technical Advisor for the last 3 years he has coordinated the Digital TV process for the Dominican Republic and given technical input to most public policies within the regulator plus most Digital Agenda projects that touch on ITC and Telecommunication initiatives.

Álvaro Nadal es Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones con un MBA de la FIU que actualmente trabaja como Asesor Técnico de la Dirección Ejecutiva del Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL), la agencia gubernamental que regula el mercado de las telecomunicaciones y sus múltiples dimensiones. Ha estado involucrado en el mercado de las telecomunicaciones por más de 25 años, donde ha trabajado como parte del ejecutivo distinguiéndose en la planificación y ejecución de proyectos técnicos en el sector privado y como regulador ha contribuido hacia la planificación y dimensionamiento de la brecha digital y la creación de políticas públicas para abordarla. Como Asesor Técnico durante los últimos 3 años, ha coordinado el proceso de TV Digital para la República Dominicana y ha brindado aportes técnicos a la mayoría de las políticas públicas dentro del regulador, además de la mayoría de los proyectos de la Agenda Digital que abordan iniciativas de TIC y telecomunicaciones.
