Arturo Cabanas is currently Security Assurance Principal at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the public sector in Latin America. In this role, Arturo creates programs that help Latin America Public Sector customers to move their workloads and regulated data to the cloud by meeting their specific cybersecurity, data privacy regulation, and compliance requirements.

Mr Cabanas’ work also includes enabling public sector and regulated industry adoption of the AWS cloud, compliance with complex privacy and data localization regulations. Prior to joining AWS, Arturo spent 15 years with Fortune 500 companies’ such as Oracle, Lenovo and Indra working directly with governments around Latin-American on IT procurement, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, as well as designing and deploying cybersecurity and assurance software solutions.

Mr Cabanas holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business Institute in Madrid, Spain and is a frequent keynote speaker with experience in translating complex technical issues into the language of any audience.
