Claudia Ximena Bustamante is an Electronic Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and a Specialization in Commercial Management from Universidad de La Sabana. She has over 25 years of experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector, with a focus on strategy, regulation, public policy, innovation, and research.
Over the course of her career, she has worked as a consultant in data and Internet networks. At the CRC, she has served as Coordinator of various areas, including Government and Advisory Relations, the Business Knowledge Center, and most recently, Regulatory Innovation and Foresight. She has led teams working on strategic topics such as infrastructure deployment, the Regulatory Sandbox, service quality, and studies on connectivity, net neutrality, OTT platforms, broadcasting, and audiovisual content.
Commissioner Bustamante has also represented the Government of Colombia in international forums such as CITEL – OAS and ICANN, and was part of the negotiation teams for trade agreements with Japan and the Pacific Alliance. Additionally, she has taught in ICT regulation specialization and master’s programs at Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a focus on regulatory innovation.
