Daisuke Furuta is the editor-in-chief of the Japan Fact-check Center (JFC). He worked as a reporter and digital editor for The Asahi Shimbun and then joined BuzzFeed Japan as the founding editor-in-chief. After that, he worked as a teaching fellow for Google News Lab from 2020 to 2022. He is a board member of the Digital Journalist Education Institute.
