Delreo Newman is currently the Executive Director of International Regulatory and Government Affairs with Atlantic Tele-Network International (ATNI). Before joining ATNI, Mr Newman was the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) advisor to the Government of Antigua and Barbuda. He was also the first Telecommunications regulator in Jamaica and has also advised the various English speaking Caribbean governments in ICTs, as a consultant. Before returning to the Caribbean, he held various management positions with the baby-bell, Nynex which is now Verizon for over 8 years. Mr Newman has over 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry.

Mr Newman holds an advance degree in Economics, post graduate certification in Behavior Choice Models from MIT and a PhD in Public Policy & Administration. He is also a member of the honor society of Pi Alpha Alpha in Public Administration.

Mr Newman sits on the Board of Directors for the Caribbean Association for National Telecommunications Operators (CANTO), as its Vice Chairman. Also, he is a former participant in the US Army War College Commandant’s National Security Program.
