Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Advisor, Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OGTIC), Dominican Republic

Mr Pereyra is an information security expert, with more than 18 years working in local and multinational companies, from different productive sectors, such as banking and finance, automotive, telecommunications and food, developing and leading projects of cybersecurity solutions and digital transformation.

Currently, as Advisor to the General Office of the OGTIC, he provides strategic and technical direction in the different domains of information security and technological architecture, managing projects and developing regulations that define the framework for action to protect the information assets and technological infrastructure of all government institutions of the Dominican Republic, against cyber threats. This includes risk assessment, the design of security policies and procedures, the implementation of protection measures and the evangelization and awareness of all government leaders, as well as all members of the public sector in the different critical aspects of cybersecurity.

Mr Pereyra holds a degree in Electronic Engineering in Communication from Universidad Acción Pro-Educación and Cultura (UNAPEC), an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) from BARNA Business School and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), also specializes in Information Technology Audit from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU).
