Gonzalo Sosa holds a Doctorate in Law and Social Sciences, is a Notary Public, and has a degree in International Relations. He completed his Master’s studies at the University of Montevideo, Uruguay, earning a Master’s degree in Business Law.
He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Republic, and teaches Corporate and Business Contracts and Tax Law at the University of Montevideo and the Catholic University of Uruguay.
Since June 2020, he has been a member of the Bureau of the Consultative Committee of Convention 108 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Council of Europe.
He is currently the Personal Data Protection Coordinator at the Regulatory and Control Unit for Personal Data and the Secretary General and Legal Counsel of the Digital Government Agency.
